ABOUT US
Keep Hope Alive.
Established in 2000, Hope SA Foundation is on a mission to "Keep Hope Alive." Aligned with the Act Now Campaign and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, our foundation addresses global challenges.
780 000 hot meals served since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
50 000 food hampers during the Covid-19 pandemic and the July 2021 unrest.
Disaster relief of the KZN Floods 2022: 150 000 liters of water, clothing, baby supplies, blankets, mattresses, 20 tonnes of food and water tanks distributed.
20 000 food hampers distributed to households.
Over 1000 children are supported with basic school requirements with our Back to School Drives.
Disaster relief efforts with the Boksburg tanker explosion. Among the first responders to families with one on one support, food aid, essentials, repairs to damaged homes.
Global Impact.
On February 7th, 2023, a team of 20 medical and rescue specialists from the Hope SA Foundation flew to Turkey to aid in the relief efforts following the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria. In addition, essential supplies including tents, sleeping bags, food, and baby necessities were sent from South Africa via Turkish Airlines to further support the humanitarian mission.
We lose nearly 800 women a day to preventable pregnancy or childbirth related complications.
More than 1 billion women and girls suffer from malnutrition and more women than men are living with depression and anxiety
